New GTA 6 Leak Surfaces Online: Is it Legitimate?
A recent leak claiming to showcase Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) screenshots has started gaining traction on Reddit and other online platforms. However, given the number of false rumors and leaks surrounding GTA 6 over the years, fans are right to exercise skepticism.
The Leak: A Closer Look
The images in question are hosted on a free image hosting site called ImgBB. While this isn't inherently a red flag, the images themselves raise some doubts. Those interested in viewing the supposed GTA 6 screenshots can do so at their discretion.
Reasons to Question the Leak's Authenticity
Several aspects of the images suggest that they might be fake:
- Inconsistent visuals: The images feature Jason on a jetski, Lucia, and a vehicle driving on a coastal road. However, the visual style and quality of these images are questionable.
- Lucia's model: The Lucia model appears to be similar to those used in AI-generated YouTube thumbnails. This, combined with the poor reflections, makes the image seem unlikely to be from the actual game.
- FOV and camera perspective: The field of view (FOV) in the screenshot featuring the car seems too narrow for a Grand Theft Auto game.
- Mini-map size: The mini-map in the images is larger than the one in GTA 5. While Rockstar Games might choose to expand the mini-map, there's no reason to expect this change without an official announcement.
Rockstar Games' Response
As expected, Rockstar Games has not commented on the leak, and it's unlikely they will. If they do respond, we'll update the story accordingly.
