Marvel Expands Gaming Universe with New Titles and Variant Covers
Marvel Games is gearing up to release a slew of exciting new titles, further expanding the Marvel gaming universe. This November, fans can look forward to the physical release of the highly anticipated Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, featuring seven classic arcade games.
Introducing Marvel Rivals
In December, the free-to-play team-based PvP shooter Marvel Rivals will launch, offering players a chance to choose from over 25 playable heroes and villains. Developed by NetEase Games, the same studio behind Marvel Duel, Marvel Rivals promises an immersive gaming experience.
New Marvel Rivals Variant Covers
To coincide with the game's release, Marvel Comics is launching a new variant cover series featuring six characters from the game. The characters showcased on the covers include:
- Illyana Rasputin, a.k.a. Magik
- Eddie Brock Venom
- Peter Parker, the web-slinging Spider-Man
- Ororo Munroe, a.k.a. Storm
- Galacta, the Daughter of Galactus (exclusive to a special promotional image)
- Jeff the Landshark (playable character)

- Magik (on sale January 8, 2025)
- All-New Venom (on sale January 8, 2025)
- Amazing Spider-Man (on sale January 8, 2025)

Gameplay and Features
In Marvel Rivals, players can choose from nearly 30 characters, divided into three class types:
- Duelist
- Strategist
- Vanguard
This allows for endless combinations of powers and team-up skills, enabling players to strategize and adapt to the ever-changing battlefields across the Marvel universe.
