PlayStation fans, take note: time is running out to purchase LittleBigPlanet 3, a beloved PS4 game published by Sony. In a move that's not uncommon in the gaming industry, publishers occasionally delist their own games due to various reasons. While this doesn't happen often, it's always disappointing when it does. This time around, LittleBigPlanet 3 will be disappearing from the PlayStation Store come November.

The Reason Behind the Removal

As announced by PlayStation earlier this month, LittleBigPlanet 3 will be taken off the PlayStation Store on October 31st. Although no official reason was given, the game's online aspects have been plagued by issues for a prolonged period. Rather than fixing these problems, PlayStation has opted to remove the game from sale entirely.

What This Means for Players

According to PlayStation, "After 10 years of playing, creating, and sharing content in LittleBigPlanet 3, the game and our entire range of LittleBigPlanet DLC will be removed from the PlayStation Store on October 31, 2024." However, there's a silver lining: if you own or purchase LittleBigPlanet 3 or its DLC before it's delisted, you'll still be able to access your purchased games and content after its removal.

A Limited-Time Opportunity

If you're reading this article before the deadline, you still have time to pick up LittleBigPlanet 3 and its DLC on the PS Store. The game is currently retailing for $19.99, and much of its accompanying DLC is free to own. It's worth adding the free DLC to your digital library, even if you don't plan to buy the game digitally. While physical copies of LittleBigPlanet 3 will still be accessible on PS5 and PS4, this add-on content will be lost forever once it's delisted.
