Hawkeye Spotted in Marvel Rivals Gameplay Video: Next Playable Character Revealed?

A recent gameplay video for Moon Knight on IGN has inadvertently dropped a major hint about an unrevealed character in Marvel Rivals. According to leaker Miller Ross, it appears that Hawkeye will be the next playable character announced for the game.

A Sneak Peek at Hawkeye's Design

Although nothing has been officially confirmed by NetEase, the developer has been slowly revealing new playable characters for the roster in a similar manner. From the brief glimpse of Hawkeye in the kill feed, it's clear that this will be the Clint Barton version of the character, rather than the Young Avenger Kate Bishop.

The design seems to draw inspiration from The Ultimates 3 series, where artist Joe Madureira gave Hawkeye a distinct look with a purple mask covering his mouth and face. However, the Marvel Rivals version appears to be missing the target on his forehead and red sunglasses.

What to Expect from Hawkeye's Gameplay

Fans are eagerly waiting for a full reveal of Hawkeye's character design and in-game move set. As Clint is known for his expertise with various weapons, including swords and guns, it's possible that his gameplay could involve a range of trick arrows or multiple weapons.

This could make him an excellent pick for players who prefer ranged combat or offer more versatility. With his multiverse concept, the developers may choose to draw inspiration from different versions of the character, making him a more complex and interesting addition to the roster.

Marvel Rivals Launch Roster and Release Date

Marvel Rivals is set to launch on December 6th, with a stacked launch roster featuring a wide range of characters from the Marvel multiverse. While it's unclear whether Hawkeye will be a day one release or added later, fans can expect a diverse cast of characters, including variants like Peni Parker and the Demon Days: X-Men version of Psylocke.
