Upcoming Marvel Disney+ Release Dates Unveiled: Here's What to Expect
A recent listing from Disney has provided an update on the release dates and windows for several highly anticipated Marvel shows on Disney+, including Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Eyes of Wakanda, Marvel Zombies, and Wonder Man.
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, an animated series, is now slated to premiere on January 29, 2025. However, it won't be the only new arrival in the world of Marvel animation. Eyes of Wakanda and Marvel Zombies will follow suit, with release dates scheduled for August 6, 2025, and October 2025, respectively. Meanwhile, the live-action Wonder Man will wrap up the year with a release in December 2025.
Apart from Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Eyes of Wakanda, and Marvel Zombies, fans can also look forward to the return of a beloved character. Daredevil: Born Again has been confirmed for a March 4, 2025 release date, as announced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. Additionally, the release window for Ironheart has also been set for 2025.
Disney+ has not only provided release dates but also treated fans to the official logos for Eyes of Wakanda and Wonder Man. Eyes of Wakanda, a four-part animated anthology series, is particularly noteworthy as it explores the untold stories of Wakanda's history. According to Marvel's head of streaming television, Brad Winderbaum, Eyes of Wakanda is the Marvel Animation series most closely tied to the MCU.
Eyes of Wakanda "ties directly into the MCU," Winderbaum revealed, highlighting the show's significance within the broader Marvel universe. The series is set to be produced by Ryan Coogler and directed by Todd Harris, whose credentials include designing the epic Hulk vs. Thor fight in Thor: Ragnarok. On the other hand, Wonder Man falls under the new Marvel Spotlight banner. Designed to be more accessible to a broader audience, these shows are less connected to the overarching Marvel Cinematic Universe.
